Moderate wood influence that should integrate quickly still allows the white flower, spiced pear and citrus-infused aromas to shine. The rich, full and serious flavors possess excellent concentration as well as ample amounts of the hallmark minerality on the detailed, energetic and explosive finish. *Don't Miss*
A taut, steely, very mineral wine, showing a tense, textured character. Fruit flavors run from grapefruit to peach, with a delicious tang of zest along the way. With its acidity and structure, this is a wine for long-term aging. (RV)
The 2009 Chablis Les Clos is fabulous. This seamless wine caresses the palate from start to finish, with fine, silky tannins that support layers of seamless fruit. Round, sweet and harmonious, the 2009 Les Clos impresses for its fabulous sense of harmony and impeccable finish. Hints of jasmine and light floral honey inform the close. The Clos was aged 40% in oak. (AG)
Full lemon-yellow color. Rather cool aromas of dusty stone, lemon and ginger. Juicier and firmer in the mouth than the more massive Valmur, with a light dusting of minerals lifted by lovely floral and spice perfume. The tight, dry, slowly building finish features very good grip and considerable class. (ST)
Ripe and juicy, with orange, apricot and melon flavors on a creamy texture. On the soft side, yet not heavy or dull, with a long, citrus-tinged aftertaste. Drink now through 2019. 400 cases imported. (BS)
From a 2-ha parcel in one block, quite low down the slope, picked in 3 separate tries, from the lower to the higher rows. Starts in tank and then 40% goes into oak, less than 25% new. Delicate woody citrus. More oaky and more up-front intensity than the Louis Michel Les Clos. Moderate depth and soft for Chablis. But more marked freshness. (JH) 17.5/20 points
