The Big Table 2010 Pinot Noir Pelos Sandberg Vineyard – from a site planted with Pommard and Clone 777 in the Eola-Amity Hills – was fermented with some inclusion of stems; pressed straight to barrel (i.e. “dirty”); but neither fined nor filtered. Sweetly scented with almond extract and kirsch, it delivers a juicy rivulet of fresh sour cherry tinged with herbal and floral subtleties and underlain by clean, marrowy raw meatiness...(DS)
