  Thick, sweet and rich - much bolder and less distinctive than the 1977 with some tannin still in evidence. Still vigorous. I wonder whether it will eventually take on the grace of the 1977? I just don't know. Less eucalyptus in evidence than in the 1977 - perhaps because bigger, or perhaps because served second. 17.5/20 points. (JR)
