K&L Notes

Entre-deux-mers, meaning "between two seas," is one of the largest appellations in the Bordeaux region and is situated between the Garonne and the Dordogne rivers. Drinkward Peschon's "Entre Deux Mères," meaning "between two mothers" is a play on the Bordeaux appellation's name. Drinkward Peschon is located in the St. Helena AVA and specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon. According to Wine Advocate: "Lisa Drinkward and Francoise Peschon started this project as a way to have fun making wine with their respective young families. The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vineyards in Calistoga and Oakville, and typically includes a dollop of Petit Verdot." (12/2012)
