Deep hue for a 1992. Moderate nose: open-knit for Leoville Las-Cases, minerally, iron filings, blackberry. A bit stalky. Palate is medium-bodied, tannic, impressive concentration. A bit raw. Attractive sweet red berried fruits on the finish. Drinking now. Fine, although the 1991 has the edge. Tasted December 2002. (NM-Wine Journal)
