Quite dark crimson. Savoury, evolved, rather toasty nose. Round and mild and easy to like. (JR)
A very good example of this under-achieving estate, the 1996's saturated dark ruby/plum color is accompanied by textbook aromas of black currants, smoky new oak, minerals, and tobacco.
