Complex, evolved, mature, cedar, spice box, and black currant aromas emerge from this ruby/garnet-colored offering. Soft, with sweet tannin, spicy oak, and ripe fruit this is an open-knit, attractive Pauillac...
Very good red-ruby color. Violet, mint, shoe polish and spicy oak on the nose. Rather unforthcoming in the mouth, with a serious structure for the vintage, but perhaps more opulent and finer than the Lynch-Bages. Lingering, spicy back end. A very good showing.
Good berry and mineral character, with medium body, fine tannins and a delicate finish.
