Tasting Notes

Nothing expresses the terroir of the Aube more clearly than Pinot Noir, and this lighter style Blanc de Noirs is a perfect ambassador of the style. This is made from the Fluteau family's 22.5 acre property in the village of Gye-sur-Seine in the southernmost part of the Aube. It is composed of all Pinot Noir from the 2009, 2008 and 2007 harvests and vinified in stainless steel. This clean, bright, fun bottle of Champagne is the perfect aperitif for drinking alone or with some light appetizers.

This mouth watering Champagne is all Pinot Noir blended from three vintages. Light weight on the palate and full of vibrant red cherry and nutty accents, this is the perfect aperitif to start any evening!

This delightful champagne has been on my go to list as of late. I love to start a meal with a delicate, straitforward and fresh glass of bubbles, and this vivacious little pinot noir based number from the Aube region of France always delivers. Try it with deviled eggs topped with chopped cornichons, bacon bits or a dollop of caviar!
