Deep ruby color. Intense, floral-accented aromas of raspberry, cherry, anise and black tea. Extremely fresh in the mouth, offering sweet red berry preserve flavors and a supple texture. Becomes juicier with air, picking up a tangy note of blood orange. The finish repeats the sweet red fruit notes and hangs on impressively. (ST)
The 2007 Zinfandel Papera Vineyard offers up abundant aromas of black raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries. Medium to full-bodied, it is not as expressive as its three siblings, but it is still very promising. Cellar this top-notch Zin over the next year or so, and enjoy it over the following 7-8. (RP)
Concentrated and tightly wound, yet offering rich, layered notes of tart blueberry, raspberry and savory pepper, with accents of anise and earth. The tannins are ripe but firm. Needs time. (TF)
