Paul Anheuser is a 14th generation family estate which was established in the Nahe in 1627. Many vineyards in the Nahe including Schlossböckelheim are planted in volcanic soils, and display a different profile than any other major growing region in Germany. The Königsfels vineyard has steep, red slopes which retain heat and produce fruity, minerally Rieslings. The 2002 vintage was excellent in the region, and at eleven years of age, this is a great opportunity to try a Kabinett wine at the age which it is meant to be enjoyed.
