Ripe, with a fine complexity, a really lovely nose; full bodied, creamy. Fruit and structure are melting together, elegant, firmly tannic length. (SB)
*Outstanding* An intensely floral nose of cool Asian style spice notes merges with dark berry fruit liqueur, kirsch, earth and stone nuances where the minerality is also reflected by the big, rich and sleekly muscular large-scaled flavors. There is excellent concentration to the mid-palate that oozes dry extract that imparts a textured mouth feel to the driving and wonderfully persistent finish. This is a robust Malconsorts that is entirely consistent with a classic example but note that it will require plenty of bottle age. In a word, magnificent.
Medium red. Red fruit aromas complemented by complex soil tones. Downright opulent and velvety on the palate, offering compelling intensity and perfumed lift. Sappy red fruit and cocoa flavors communicate a strong impression of extract. Most impressive today on the rising, palate-staining, minerally finish. Classic 2010 in its energy and structure: I'd give it at least a decade in the cellar.
The 2010 Vosne-Romanee Aux Malconsorts is much more nuanced and detailed in its aromatics and flavors than the Beaux Monts. The understated, refined side of Vosne comes through beautifully in this elegant, articulated Burgundy. Over the last few years the Malconsorts has typically been one of my favorite wines in the Dujac lineup, but it needs time. (AG)
Dense crimson. Savoury and introvert. Very rich and juicy and vibrant. Great line in this. Very expressive.
