This small-production, Right Bank style blend from Vinoce is dominated by Cab Franc (60%), with 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot playing supporting roles. Aged for 18 months in 90% new French oak, this has the structure and intensity of a mountain wine, with integrated spice and leather accents to complement the cassis, cranberry and currant fruit. The tannins are surprisingly tame, but still present, which makes this drinkable now but with the potential for near-term cellaring.
