The proprietary Bordeaux blend, the 2003 Oroppas, which is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with some Merlot and Petit Verdot, exhibits a dense purple color and a big, sweet nose of white flowers, blueberries, espresso roast, white chocolate, and spicy oak. The wine is rich, supple-textured, medium to full-bodied, approachable, and already revealing surprising complexity. It should drink well for 10-12 years.
Deep ruby-red. Brooding aromas of cassis, licorice, minerals and nutty oak.Chewy, serious and built to age, with somewhat medicinal, claret-like flavors of black cherry, bitter chocolate and menthol.Dense and rich, even a bit youthfully syrupy, but has plenty of life and verve. Tannins are firm but ripe. I'd give this one six or seven years in the cellar.
