Bright, dark red. Wild, smoky aromas of currant, plum, sexy spices and meat. Silky-sweet on entry, then fine-grained and fairly full if a bit youthfully unforthcoming in the middle. Boasts very good density and an attractive acid/tannin balance but will be better for a few years in the cellar. Incidentally, Germain thinks that the acidity of 2010 will always showcase the fruit and that the wines will never really shut down in bottle. 91(+?) points
