A wine with blueberry and chocolate with hints of hazelnut. Full body, with velvety tannins and a polished finish. This is intense yet very fine. Very pretty young Bordeaux.
Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Grand-Puy-Ducasse gives up notes of blackcurrant pastilles, prunes and fruitcake with wafts of espresso and oolong tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has very good fruit concentration, with a firm, grainy texture and seamless freshness, finishing long and earthy. (LPB)
Tough at the moment, this is a wine with impressive concentration. It's solid and chunky, with massive structure. The fragrant finish is a sign of the pleasure to come. (RV)
Features loam, dark chocolate and steeped plum and black currant fruit, staying polished overall, with a singed apple wood note integrated through the solid finish. Shows excellent typicity. (JM)
Good red-ruby. Cassis and licorice aromas are complicated by herbs and black pepper. Sweet and fresh, but with slightly jammy flavors of dark fruits and licorice showing a faint alcoholic warmth. Rather easygoing wine owing to its ripeness but has plenty of ripe tannins for support. (ST)
