Rich, with a hint of toast, this floral wine, with its almond blossom aromas, is drier than many other bottlings from this producer. It has a crisp, tight texture, with a mineral edge as well as a firm structure that suggests it is still young, so drink from 2018. (RV)
K&L Notes
This is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay and 30% Meunier is sourced exclusively from Grand and 1er cru villages in Champagne. It is composed of 30% reserve wines and aged over four years on the lees. This excellent bottle of Champagne has a lot to offer with tête de cuvée texture, Verzenay hazelnut character and a great finish. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne Buyer)
