Pretty deep colour. Very ripe and sweet. One of the first wines in this Go West tasting (my 20th at least) that tastes like the old California stereotype. Lots of tannin after lots of sweetness and oak and before lots of alcohol. Old school! (JR)
Shows off a spice, dill and cedary oak quality, met by ripe currant, smoke, wild berry and cigar box notes. Ends with firm, ripe tannins that give the flavors grip. (JL)
