Dark cherries, plums, smoke and cloves all jump from La Sirena's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an especially dark, juicy Cabernet Sauvignon with tons of near and medium term appeal and gorgeous immediacy but also more than enough stuffing to drink well for years. Sweet spices, menthol, tobacco and licorice flow through to the expressive, layered finish. La Sirena's Cabernet is sourced from a variety of parcels in Calistoga, Pritchard Hill, Atlas Peak, Oakville and St. Helena. (AG)
Heidi Barrett has always done marvelous work with Cabernet Sauvignon, and this opaque purple-colored, rich 2010 displays classic notes of smoky creme de cassis intermixed with hints of wood smoke and spice, impressive purity and texture, and a full-bodied mouthfeel. It is built for 10-20 years of aging. (RP)
Very tight and tannic, with an underlying charm imparting a measure of finesse and refinement that bodes well for the future. Ends on a graceful note. Best from 2015 through 2025. (JL)
