The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 1882 is round, sweet and voluptuous. Dark red cherry, mocha, cherry jam, spice and new leather are all pushed forward. Drink this juicy, open-knit Cabernet Sauvignon over the next few years. There is plenty of near term appeal here. This 1882 is a welcome addition to the Inglenook range, and a terrific value to boot. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Nearly opaque. Intense juicy red and black fruit, sweet vanilla-oak and cocoa-powder aromas. Elegant mouthfeel and balance with enticing fruit, well-integrated oak and the dusty earth. It has a sense of place. Long, elegant, balanced finish. Will improve with time in bottle. 17.5+/20 points.
