The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuvee State Lane Vineyard (1,800 cases produced from a blend of 66% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest the other Bordeaux varietals) is soft, round and charming. It comes across as a Pessac-Leognan style of wine with some earthiness, sweet currant fruit, roasted herbs and a round, juicy finish. (RP)
Deep red-ruby. Deeper and riper than the 2011 Endre, showing a captivating lavender nuance to the aromas of blackberry, cherry syrup and smoke. Sweet, smooth and fine-grained, offering good flesh for the vintage. The dark fruit and licorice flavors are nicely supported by serious, building but rather silky tannins. (ST)
A wonderful core of fruit in this wine with blueberry, dark-chocolate and cocoa character. Full body with chewy tannins and a long finish. Sexy.
