Dense black-ruby. Mineral, blackberry and anise aromas, with well-covered vanillin oak adding some clove-like spice notes. Medium-full body. Strong, ripe, supple flavors show a high toast level well covered by rich berry and black cherry fruit. Full, firm tannins are well buffered by strong extract. The level of ripe fresh fruit, combined with an intriguing anise taste and a more velvety texture, all indicate a significant change in vinification and elevage relative to the first two releases. *Three Stars* (JB)
