From the Groth family's estate vineyards, this has the lush fruit of a classic Oakville cabernet. The structure is lean and firm, with purple and blueberry fruit running straight through it. Sleek mineral tannins keep it tight, revealing a profile that will expand over time in bottle.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Deep red. Currant, plum, licorice, mint and oak spices on the nose. A moderately concentrated, pliant midweight, with ripe flavors of plum and cinnamon lifted by fresh herbs. Good juicy energy makes this very easy to drink, and the firm tannins won't stand in the way of early enjoyment.
