Is there a better introduction to Barolo? At $20, I don't think so! The bouquet sends the classic aromas of tar and roses with dark plum, earth and leather. On the palate, the wine delivers for a YOUNG Barolo a fine supple tannin structure complemented by accents of dusty bittersweet cocoa powder and almond skin. Put this in a Pinot Noir glass, pair it with some hearty fare and boom, your done.

The 2010 "Essenze" is a really nice introduction to Barolo at a great price. The vintage really shines through and there's plenty of mouth-filling fruit, smooth tannins and a lingering finish. This delicious Nebbiolo is easy on both the palate and the wallet so take advantage while the supply lasts.

Sorry...Barolo...$19.99...for real? Yep, Terre Da Vino delivering again. Sure if you had a child in 2010 and want something for them to drink on their 21st you might want to spend a few more bucks...but if you like classic Nebbiolo / Barolo flavors and want to be able to enjoy them more frequently, this is your ticket. Classic dark berries, rose petal and bitumen, warm earth, Black Forest gâteau (very British, sorry) and the customary Nebbiolo tannin structure. A bargain for sure.

2010 for Brunello wines was an amazing year, but it doesn't stop there! This Barolo is quite delicious, offering up beautiful red fruit, vanilla, and wet earth on the nose and it's bright and delicious on the palate. The tannin structure is nearly perfect for consuming now. I take a little perfume and anise with me at the finish. Great price! Delicious, easy drinking, wine!

Maybe not the most traditional of Barolos but that's not what I'm looking for here. This is a forward drinking style with flavors of cherry compote, fresh cut flowers and a fine juicy finish. That nebbiolo structure comes out on the palate though and it lingers. For under $20, a half dozen of these sounds about right for me. Three to drink near term and three to discover down the road. I think you'll really be pleased, I know I will.

From the exceptional 2010 vintage in Barolo the Terre da Vino folks have released an outstanding wine at an unbelievable price. The wine's nose is full of a complex blend of plum, smoke and leather but it is on the palate that the wine is sensational. Most 2010's will be headed to your cellar but this wine can go right to the table. The palate has a supple, powerful, luxurious feel to it that shows lots of rich fruit along with spice and earth, and the tannins are really well integrated. A long, vibrant finish really makes this wine a sensational drink now or for quite a few years to come.
    Drink from 2015 to 2022
