Tasting Notes
This comes from the legendary Bedrock vineyard in Sonoma Valley. The parcel is named for the creek that's named for the vineyard's one-time co-owner, “Fighting Joe” Hooker, who went on to command the Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War. Back in the 1850s, after military service in the previous decade, Hooker and fellow vet William T. Sherman went into the vineyard business together in the Sonoma Valley.
Tasting note from the winery: "Aromas of blackberry, licorice, and cocoa. Medium to full bodied on the palate with plum fruit, balanced acidity, chalky tannins, and notes of olive and mint on the finish."
