Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is very elegant and refined with tightly bound and penetrating aromas of gooseberry fruit, white florals and mouthwatering fresh herb and mineral notes. Subtle passionfruit elements unfold with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, elegantly presented flavours of white florals, gooseberries and chalky passionfruit form an intense and concentrated core. The mouthfeel is thirst-quenchingly dry with a fine textural line and beautifully balanced acid laciness lending vitality and liveliness. The flavours carry through to a very long, sustained finish. This is a very elegant, refined and intense Sauvignon Blanc with mouthwatering white floral and gooseberry flavours. Serve as n aperitif, with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2-3 years. Fruit 54% from the Lissaman’s ‘Trelawne Farm’ vineyard in the Awatere and 46% from the ‘TWR Home Block’ in Renwick, the majority of which was hand-picked and hand-sorted, cool-fermented in tank with 8% in seasoned French oak demi-muids to 13.0% alc. and 1.4 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees.

*Top Ten NZ Sauv Blancs* Just 1,950 cases of this wine were made. Most of the fruit comes from the Awatere Valley sub region and 7% is barrel fermented, giving lovely structure and seriousness. It's textural and bone-dry with fresh pineapple fruit and grassy notes backed by firm acidity. This will mature well.
