The proprietary red wine, the 2004 Reserve is a blend of 40% Petit Verdot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Despite the high percentage of Petit Verdot in the blend, it is an elegant, darkly-hued wine revealing blueberry, licorice, black currant, cedar, and spice box characteristics. Medium to full-bodied with a Bordeaux-like structure and moderately high tannin, it will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring, and should age well over the following 15 or more.
