The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the biggest and most powerful wines I have tasted from Entre-Nous. There is plenty of intensity in the glass, but at the same time, the 2012 is a bit bombastic today. The sample I tasted did not include Merlot, which is typically a component in the blend, so readers should take this note only as an approximation of what will be the final wine. (AG)
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Entre Nous (90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot) is slightly closed (even though it was a barrel sample). It is a rich, dense, fruity, dark ruby/purple-colored effort exhibiting lots of black currant notes intertwined with background toast, forest floor and unsmoked cigar tobacco. It is not an exuberant, in-your-face Cabernet (a characteristic of many 2012s), and should drink nicely for 10-15 years. (RP)
