Complex and concentrated, with black currant and olive aromas and supple blackberry, earthy clay and cedar flavors that linger toward lively tannins. Should be better with time. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best after 2012. 550 cases made. (TF)
The 2008 Vin Perdu bursts from the glass with dark red cherries, plums, violets, licorice and spices. All the elements come together beautifully in this dark, sumptuous wine. In 2008, the Vin Perdu is 44% Petit Verdot, 39% Syrah, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Cabernet Franc. The Petit Verdot tannins provide the backbone, giving the wine tons of energy, vibrancy and pure length. This is a gorgeous wine. (AG)
