The 2013 Les Charmes-Godard, from a property in Blaye, is striking. Rich and textured in the glass, the 2013 impresses for its harmony and pure class. An array of yellow stone fruits, lychee and wild flowers are all alive in a vivid, nuanced wine full of personality. This Sémillon/Sauvignon blend was aged in 500-liter barrels. It has been fabulous on both occasions I have tasted it so far. (AG)
This has crunchy edges, with white peach, chamomile, straw and quinine notes forming the core. The lively finish lets a fleur de sel accent linger. Drink now. 850 cases made. (JM) Web 2015
