Though the Cordella family had been growing and selling their grapes for some time, 2006 is the first vintage that Maddalena Cordella, daughter of founder Orlando, decided to vinify her own wine. Their farming is entirely organic (certified by ICEA) and everything--from pruning to picking--is done by hand. Try this rich, earthy wine alongside a large hunk of aged cheese to bring out its soulful, savory personality.
