Although this isn’t a particularly powerful 2015 St.-Emilion, it’s still very young. Lots of fresh red- and black-fruit aromas and crisp acidity prepare the scene for the long, clean finish. Very attractive now, but it should be better in 2019 and 2020.
The 2015 Trianon is absolutely delicious. Silky, perfumed and impeccably balanced, it has much to offer. Sweet red cherry, tobacco, cedar and herb notes add lift and perfume with noticeable Cabernet overtones. This is very nicely done. The blend is 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Carménère. (AG)
Very juicy, with lots of loganberry, blueberry and plum reduction flavors pumping through, inlaid with brambly grip that is well-absorbed, backed by lively licorice and apple wood notes. Best from 2020 through 2030. (JM, Web Only-2018)
The 2015 Château Trianon has a high-toned bouquet that calms down with aeration to offer black plum, mulberry and spicy aromas that are neatly integrated with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with layers of grippy tannin, assertive in the mouth, but requiring more tension and finesse to come through on the slightly bitter finish. (NM)
