Introducing the newest addition to Jake Lustig's ArteNOM portfolio, the deliciously fruit-forward blanco expression from NOM 1579. The mountain town of Jesús-María (elev. 6,079’) is Tequila’s highest altitude agave region, and the El Pandillo Distillery is arguably one of the most forward-thinking and sustainable distilleries in the business. There, Felipe Camarena masterfully crafts this bright, aromatic tequila from stressed hillside agave plants, slowly roasted in brick ovens and macerated intact with fiber for a pronounced agave flavor. It's an instant classic. Scored 94 points by the Beverage Testing Institute: "Clear color. Rustic aromas of dried grasses, pumpkin, rice cake, sage, and underripe mango with a silky, bright, dryish light body and a smooth, medium-length black pepper, marzipan, and candied lime peel finish. An earthy, dry tequila that will shine in autumnal cocktails." (04/2019)

The sweetness derived from the higher altitude this agave is grown at really shines through and makes this an amazingly easy sipping tequila. The incredibly smooth texture accentuated with great fruit flavor and slight spice makes this blanco one to treasure. A wonderful expression of how high-end tequila could taste from an respected, established, individual producer.
