The 2014 Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard (from the Williams Selyem Estate Vineyard) is simply stunning. Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, it offers a gorgeous floral perfume over crushed red cherries, raspberries and wild strawberries with a hint of cinnamon toast. The delicate, medium-bodied palate possesses exquisitely ripe, finely grained tannins and a racy backbone supporting the intense flavors, finishing long and layered. (LPB)
The 2014 Pinot Noir Williams Selyem Estate Vineyard is gorgeous. Subtle, nuanced and beautifully layered, the 2014 offers striking aromatics and plenty of silkiness, both of which give the wine its sense of total finesse. Bright red cherry, blood orange, mint and rose petal blossom in the juicy but restrained finish. There is a lot to like. (AG)
This is a soft, complex and floral wine, sourced from an estate vineyard on Westside Road. Black cherry, tangerine and oak reduction make for a bright, brooding combination of medium-bodied lushness and subtle power. (VB)
Aromas of iodine and spice with dark berry and cherry. Full body, round and chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Salty and mineral finish.
Ripe, cool, airy and densely fruited aromas are composed mostly by both red and dark cherry scents where additional breadth is present in the form of spice, floral and tea wisps. There is a noticeably finer mouth feel to the rich and seductive medium weight flavors that also possess fine mid-palate concentration along with a dusty and ever-so-slightly edgy finale. This may well harmonize with time though it's not clear if the edginess will ever completely dissipate. It's worth noting that the right foods should definitely help round off he finish. In sum, there is much to like here but the balance isn't quite perfect.
