Interesting combination of ripe fruit and grilled meat follow through to a medium to full body, soft tannins and a fruity finish. Drink in 2019.
Here is a Cabernet that is unlikely to win accolades from those on the hunt for drama and bombast, but it earns very good marks for its crafting and polish as well as its steady, wonderfully well-defined complement of blackcurrants and cherries. It hints at woodsy spice and briar at one moment and at dried flowers and vanilla the next all the while steering a very sure fruity course with an underpinning of gentle, fairly fine-grained tannin that affords it the structural certainty for a half-dozen years of very positive growth. *Good Value*
Textbook's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is an attractive, mid-weight wine. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years, while the red stone fruit and floral notes retain their freshness. This gracious, open-knit Cabernet is absolutely delicious. (AG)
