The 2015 Cote de Tablas Blanc, which includes less Viognier than normal, checks in as an even split of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne. It's a perfumed, elegant and textured white that offers lots of citrus and saltiness as well as more background notes of chamomile, flowers and spice. It will shine on the dinner table, and while I'd lean toward drinking bottles over the coming couple of years, it will evolve for longer. (JD)
Light bright yellow. Smoky aromas of poached pear, honey and pungent flowers, accompanied by a hint of succulent herbs in the background. Pliant and sappy in the mouth, offering subtly sweet orchard and pit fruit flavors and a refreshing jolt of bitter citrus pith. Closes with very good energy, clarity and persistence, leaving a suave floral note behind. (JR)
Transparent and aromatic, with roasted pineapple, pear, peach and tangerine flavors that are bold and spicy. Smooth and juicy on the finish, graced by white flower aromas. Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. (MW)
