While still in his early twenties, Aurélien Chatagnier created his own domaine in 2002 after working for Domaine Jamet and François Villard. He has now built his estate up to 10 hectares around the town of Saint-Pierre-de-Boeuf in the northern end of the Saint Joseph AOC. This organically farmed 100% Syrah is from granite terroir and sees native yeast fermentation and 12 months in 2/3 new oak before bottling.
