The lively and precise medium-bodied flavors exude a discreet minerality that adds a sense of lift to the more harmonious and more structured finale. The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, as usual a blend of Crepiots and la Perrière, has a tightly wound bouquet with light blackberry and briary scents. This is clearly a level up from the village cru. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, fine acidity, quite elegant and smooth towards the raspberry and strawberry finish...(NM)
