The 2015 Red Burgundies are just beginning to appear, and are far outstripping our expectations. Domaine Tortochot has been a perennial favorite for me, and the 2015 is superb. Although it is still rather taught and structured at the moment, it has all of the qualities one looks for in a good Burgundy. Elegant, poised fruit with plenty of body, fine tannin, crisp acidity, and, with signature Tortochot finesse, very open and expressive aromatics. This wine should begin to integrate in the next 6 months, but will live and drink far longer than a decade.
