This relies, as did last year’s installment, primarily on fruit from Krettnach. Once again, a light chaptalization was performed, which in this instance landed the wine at 12.5 percent, a full percentage higher in alcohol than that predecessor. Fortunately, alcohol hasn’t weighed it down. White peach and cherry are garlanded with lily-of-the-valley and inform a polished palate for a generous and harmonious impression. A cooling influx of basil adds to the allure of a soothingly and refreshingly lingering finish. (DS)
