Made from 65% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre and the rest Syrah, the 2015 Esquisto has a peppery, spicy, red (and some black) fruited style that’s reminiscent of a Gigondas from the Southern Rhone Valley. This medium to full-bodied beauty picks up weight and depth with time in the glass, has notable complexity, ripe, yet present tannin, and a great finish.
