Aromas of plums and chocolate with hints of walnuts. Medium body and integrated tannins that are soft and juicy. Even so, there’s lots of fruit and mineral character underneath; search it out! Need two or three years to open.
The 2014 Le Bon Pasteur is supple, open-knit and tasty. Super-ripe black cherry, smoke, mocha, tobacco and French oak give the wine its fleshy, seductive personality. The 2014 is not especially complex, but it is quite delicious. (AG)
This has a succulent edge, with friendly raspberry and boysenberry confiture notes underscored by warm fruitcake flavors and a hint of ganache. (JM, Web-2017)
