The new red, part of the Edición Limitada series, is the 2015 Aaron, a varietal Garnacha from old vines fermented in open concrete vats and aged in used 500-liter French oak barrels, named after Rubio's son born in September 2015. It felt a bit closed and reticent at first, with shy aromas but nice harmony and subtlety. The palate is consistent with the nose, medium-bodied, fresh, balanced and subtle. It was bottled after 12 months in barrel. (LG)
