Here too there is a note of petrol present on the ripe and fresh aromas of wood, citrus, apple and a soft floral wisp. The round, rich and very generously proportioned flavors possess a fleshy, indeed even plump, mouth feel before terminating in an ever-so-mildly sweet finish. This too would best be drunk young. Drink: 2018+
The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Clos de l'Arlot Blanc, aged in 20% new oak, has a crisp, nectarine, white peach and pear-scented bouquet with very fine delineation and vigor. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry with a keen line of acidity, perhaps not quite as complex as the 2014 last year, but retaining very fine freshness and salinity all the way through to the finish. You could enjoy this from bottling, though I would prefer to wait a year or two before opening.
