Black cherry and blueberry. Hints of flowers. Full body, round and velvety tannins. Juicy finish. Hits of chocolate. Drink now.
From a larger portion of viticulturist Anne Moller-Racke's home vineyard, this wine needs time to unravel itself out of a compact and concentrated funk of cedar and mint. The tannin weight is present and powerful. Roses and wild raspberries form a pact of flavor and beguiling aromatic invitation.
The 2013 Pinot Noir Anne Katherina Vineyard has slightly higher alcohol at 14.5%. This cuvée has soft raspberry and black cherry fruit, medium body and seems slightly less structured than its sibling, the Anne Katherina Vineyard - Farmhouse Block. The wine is well-made, complex, and already showing delicious and abundant Pinot fruit. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
