This white combines freshness and depth with a supple, almost creamy texture. Lemon-lime, Granny Smith apple, tart green plum and oyster shell flavors converge as this dovetails on the long, chalky finish. Accents of fresh herbs and flowers linger. Best from 2018 through 2028. 300 cases imported. *Highly Recommended* (BS)
The 2014 Chablis Grand Cru les Clos is very impressive from the word go: crisp limestone scents, apple blossom and just a touch of smoke. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, fine definition, very focused and complete with a hint of bitter lemon lending tension. What really marks this out is the outstanding salinity on the finish...you feel as if you have just licked a rock. Maybe I have? This is an outstanding Les Clos from Fabien Moreau. (NM)
This wine is young, surprisingly fruity at this stage for this normally textured, structured Grand Cru. A pure line of sliced apple and green-plum flavors are shot through with tangy acidity. The fruitiness and intense acidity will pass soon and the wine will develop the proper steely, tight and mineral character. It will drink at its best from 2020. *Cellar Selection* (RV)
Crystalline citrus fruit, bitter herby notes then a sweet cream flavour and spice to finish. Succulent and layered. 17.5/20 Points (RH)
