Aromas of walnuts, bark and dark fruit follow through to a medium to full body, velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. Lovely fruit to this. Drink or hold.
Dark cherry, mocha, plum, French oak, spice and new leather all flesh out in the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Mise en Place. Silky, open-knit and gracious, with no hard edges, the 2014 will drink nicely upon release and for at least several years beyond. (AG)
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Mise en Place from Oakville has a dense ruby/purple color, good crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, licorice and subtle background oak. It is medium to full-bodied, rich and shows more persistence and staying power than most of the textbook cuvées. This should drink nicely for another decade or more. (RP)
Blended with 10% Merlot, this offers high-toned cherry, cassis and a simple tannin structure, creating an elegant take on the variety that's polished and built for enjoying with a meal. (VB)
