A mildly reduced nose is trimmed in enough wood to mention though I doubt that either will last once the wine is in bottle. Otherwise there is a lovely sense of energy to the well-detailed medium weight flavors that possess a sleek mouth feel thanks mainly to the relatively fine-grained tannins on the lingering finish where the only minor reproach is a touch of warmth. This is worth checking out.
The 2015 Ladoix 1er Cru la Corvee Rouge contains 25% whole cluster fruit and is currently being matured in 25% new oak. It has a pleasant dark cherry and cranberry-scented bouquet with a touch of damp earthiness coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent red cherry and strawberry fruit, a pleasant fleshiness here with an energetic finish that might have the greatest persistence, yet is very well balanced. This comes recommended. (NM)
