Lots of blackberry and blueberry character. Some tar, too. Full-bodied, dense and fruit-forward center palate that's wrapped up in a polished tannin package. Well done. Better in 2019.
Elegantly styled, rich and creamy, with a pure mix of dark berry, licorice, cedary oak, mocha and dried herb. Shows grace, finesse and density, ending with a dash of espresso. Drink now through 2025. (JL)
Another dark, powerful wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate struggles to emerge from beneath a wall of serious tannin. Black cherry, plum, mint and new leather are some of the signatures. Hints of raspberry jam, pomegranate and blood orange add shades of complexity. Readers will have to be patient, as the tannins are imposing. (AG)
Perfumed aromatics with hints of blueberry. Notes of cocoa, tobacco, and black fruit through the palate. Persistent tactile tannins and moderate acidity still carry into a long finish. Needs air upon opening. Quite taut still. (ECB)
