Aromas of pear and menthol show limited nuance. A bit larger-scaled, richer and spicier than the Vergers and Chenevottes but still a wine of moderate ripeness. Savory menthol and mint notes lead to a fairly bracing, persistent finish. (ST)
Generous wood fights and very firm reduction renders the pungent nose impossible to read. There is good intensity to the slightly less voluminous and concentrated medium weight flavors that exhibit good precision on the ever-so-mildly austere finale that offers very solid depth and persistence.
A vibrant and focused white, with lemon, apple and pear flavors dovetailing with the firm structure. Expands nicely on the finish, where a minerally accent emerges. (BS)
