Starting out, the estate made a terrific white and their 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is based on Clairette, Grenache Blanc, and Bourboulenc. It offers textbook notes of white peach, spice, buttered citrus and hints caramelized pineapple in a clean, refreshing, balanced style that’s going to drink beautifully for 4-5 years (and longer I suspect). This estate is managed by the larger than life Nicolas Boiron and his wines span the gauntlet from very traditional and old-school (Chante le Merle) to polished and modern (La Folie). This common theme across all the releases is incredibly high-quality. (JebDunnuck.com)
